Privacy Policy

QUIT ("we", "the app") is a productivity tool designed to help users manage and reduce their screen time on selected apps and websites. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.

1. Data We Collect

Account information — your Google account email and display name, used solely for authentication via Supabase.
Usage statistics — daily screen time, gamble results (win/loss, time amounts), and bonus activity. Stored locally on your device and synced to your private account in our database.
Blocked app list — the package names and websites you choose to block. Stored locally and synced to your account so your settings are restored across sign-ins.
Social data — friend connections and time-gift transactions you initiate voluntarily.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect the content of your messages, browsing history, or any data from the apps you block.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
We do not use any analytics SDKs beyond what is listed below.

3. Third-Party Services

Supabase — backend database and authentication. Data is stored in the EU. Supabase Privacy Policy.
Google Sign-In — used for account creation and authentication. Google Privacy Policy.
Google AdMob — used to show a rewarded video ad when you choose to retry a lost gamble. AdMob may collect device identifiers as described in the Google Privacy Policy.

4. Permissions

QUIT requests the following Android permissions:

Usage Access — to detect which app is in the foreground so it can be blocked in real time.
Accessibility Service — to intercept app launches and block websites inside browsers.
Display Over Other Apps — to show the blocking screen on top of blocked content.
Battery Optimization Exemption — to keep the monitoring service running in the background.
Notifications — to deliver social alerts (friend requests, time gifts).

None of these permissions are used to collect personal data beyond what is described above.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, all records are permanently removed from our database within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

QUIT is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
